Analytic results: Preference propagation
👉 We provide two types of dashboards for preference selection analytics.
The first one is the “Raw preference selection” dashboard. It reports the elements selected by the users. In our example, daily is selected but not the preference values that embed "daily". The report will identify "daily" as selected.
👉 "Daily" will be a selected preference value in the report.
The second one is the “Preference selection with propagation” dashboard.
For this one, if an element is selected, all the elements that embed the element are also selected. In our example, "daily" is selected, but "football" and "private offers" will also be considered as selected.
👉 "Daily" will be a selected preference value in the report.
👉 "Football" will be a selected preference value in the report, since it embeds the value “Daily”.
👉 "Private Offers" purpose will be a selected purpose value in the report, since it embeds the value “Daily”.
Working example
👉 Example of different selections that give the same result in the propagation dashboard.
There is no propagation in the interface. When a user selects the preference value “Daily”, it does not automatically select the previous preference.
No propagation
👉 The purpose is denied by a selected preference.
The propagation in the metrics is not applied in the case of a denied purpose. As we can see in this example, where the field “No” is selected.
